Academic synergies between higher learning institutes of Pakistan and Turkey would bring both the nations closer for the mutual benefit of the two countries.

Turkey’s new ambassador Sadik Babur Girgin said this during his visit to the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) on Friday.

He discussed issues of mutual interest with Rector Maj-Gen (Retd) Masood Hassan Director-General Brig Azam Jamal.

Girgin said that the investment being made by Turkish entrepreneurs in different sectors of Pakistan including education, communications, engineering and telecom was “reflective of our desire to contribute our share for the development and growth of Pakistan”, said a press release issued by the NUML.

The envoy said that academic synergies and joint venture should be developed as the education was instrumental for economic development of any nation.
