Crime against women: Complainant asked to record statement in abduction case

Shafique said she was sexually assaulted by him and three of his friends she managed to escape a few days ago.

An additional district and sessions judge directed a woman to record her statements on her petition seeking a case against a quack for raping her. Sonia Shafique said four months ago, she had gone to Muhammad Irfan’s clinic with a fever.

She said he gave her an injection after which she lost conscious. She said when she woke up, she found herself in an unfamiliar room. She said Irfan detained her for three months. She said she was sexually assaulted by him and three of his friends she managed to escape a few days ago. She said she had approached Sanda police but they did not register her complaint.  She asked the court to direct the station house officer to register a case against Irfan.
