Laughing matter: Satire laden “Hasb-i-Taufeeq” launched

Articles have various layers of meaning and are beautifully written, says Agha Noor Muhammad Pathan.

Participants at the launch of a book titled “Hasb-i-Taufeeq” called it a beautiful amalgam of satire and humour. According to a press release, the event was organised by Bazm-i- Akbarillah Abadi at the Pakistan Academy of Letters Monday where Dr Inamul Haq Javed was the chief guest. Javed said the book treats a diverse range of subjects relevant to contemporary times. The book is simultaneously religious, reformative and humorous. The book’s author M S Aiman said that such occasions not only encourage reading habits among people but also brings the so many literati under one roof — an occasion for the reader and writer to meet each other which at times become unforgettable for a reader. Agha Noor Muhammad Pathan said the articles particularly on politics, religion and Urdu dictation have various layers of meaning and was beautifully written. Naseem Sehar and Tariq Shahid also spoke at the event.
