Road advisory: ‘Use fog lights and drive slow’

The National Highways and Motorway Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the fog that has persisted for several days.


SSP Mirza Faran Baig said the best time to travel was between 10am-6pm.

He said it was best to avoid travelling early in the morning or late in the evening.

He said, drivers should ensure reasonable distance between vehicles.

Baig said moisture in the air may collect on the windshield, which may impair vision. He said the defroster should be adjusted accordingly. He said use of fog lights was imperative.

He said commuters could get information about conditions onthe helpline 130. He said motorists should avoid applying sudden brakes.

The Met office forecast has dense fog, especially during the night and early morning.
