GUJRANWALA: A woman declared dead on Saturday in Civil Hospital was found to be alive after being moved to a private clinic. Sana Tayyab, 22, had lost consciousness due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. Her husband said she was taken to Civil Hospital, where the doctor on duty pronounced her dead. He said the patient’s parents had refused to believe that she had died and took her to a private clinic nearby. She was then given medication that restored her consciousness. The husband accused the doctor at Civil Hospital of negligence. The doctor named by him denied that he had examined the patient, or pronounced her dead. He said there was no record of her visit to the hospital. The doctor at the private clinic said the patient did not have a pulse when she was brought to him.
