Randhawa murder case: ATC informed about hearing inside jail

Syed Kazim Abbas Rizvi, an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, was arrested for the murder of Randhawa.

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) was informed on Friday by the home department that the hearing of Advocate Naimat Ali Randhawa’s murder case would be conducted inside the jail. Syed Kazim Abbas Rizvi, an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, was arrested for the murder of Randhawa, who was a former prosecutor at an anti-terrorism court and a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s legal wing in Sindh. Rizvi is in police custody while three others, Noman, Rehan, and Salman, are absconding. Meanwhile, the ATC-II directed the jail superintendent to give medical treatment to the suspect and produce medical reports in the next hearing after Rizvi’s counsel requested the court for medical treatment. The case was adjourned till February 6.
