Infrastructure: Two roads to Sundar planned

Two roads, a total of 21 kilometres, have been handed over to the Lahore Ring Road Authority for rehabilitation.

LAHORE: Two roads, a total of 21 kilometres, have been handed over to the Lahore Ring Road Authority for rehabilitation, The Express Tribune has learnt. These roads had earlier been under the control of the Communication and Works Department. They were given in the charge of Lahore Commissioner who transferred their control to the Lahore Ring Road Authority. These roads will be returned to the Communication and Works Department. Work is expected to start in March and to be completed within four months. Sewage lines and drains parallel to the road will be constructed. Rehabilitation and construction of drains on two roads from Sundar Stop on Raiwind Road to Rohi Nala (10.67 km) and Manga Mandi on Raiwind Road to Rohi Nala of (11.73 km) will be discussed at the Provincial Development Working Party meeting. The Lahore Ring Road Authority has given an advertisement for the pre qualification of firms. Two drains of 15,000 metres and 10,900 metres each will be constructed along these roads, amounting to Rs1,800 million.
