The FIR mentions ten of the suspects by name while six are unidentified. However, no arrests have been made as yet.
Bhatti was killed along with four other people on Saturday evening when their convoy was ambushed near Kasur.
The attackers, believed to be on motorcycles, had riddled the two cars with bullets. Bhatti was travelling in his SUV along with three guards.
According to police, the attack seems to be motivated by personal enmity.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and had demanded a report from IG police.

Simple. PTI is not on the hit list of TTP. But PTI is on the Hit list of PMLN.
The murders of Maqsood Bhatti will never be brought to justice.
I would be the first one to condemn it, if its proven that PML(N) or anyother political party or its leaders have hand in it. As far as I know, the reason of murder could be only one and that is property. Area sorrounding Lahore has made poor, illeterate farmers millionaires and billionaires overnight. After selling their holdings, they move to new housing schemes of Lahore, but within few years when they ran out of cash and have no more property to sell, they target buyers of their previous holdings for more cash with false claims which results into violent clashes.
He was attacked because drones kill innocents and its a reaction of that. I think the police should not carry on any action against the culprits. Instead we should negotiate with those involved in the murder. The leader was killed because we are involved in other's war. We must stop this war.
PTI members are not specifically targeted, all Pakistanis and Punjabis are targeted.....accordinly to security officers this is due to personal enmity.

@Kaleem: You are right about old enemity PTI in its hunt for ‘electables’ included those with history of feud of blood into its ranks. A tragic incident took place last year when two warring families settled a score killing quite a few of the family which supported PTI. More and more and more of the same, in the naya Pakistan, where eliminating adversaries come easily. Unfortunately, PTI could not encourage people with a clean past and present to join them.

If you ask local insiders from Kasur, You will come to know that it is result of some old enmities. Also, the guy jump shipped from PPP to PTI recently, its nothing about politics. We, the mango people, don't need to carry so many guards anyway.

@Ahmed: Yes indeed we will condemn this attack like we have always done so on any such incident. The question we ask is, will Mr Imran Khan still negotiate with the attackers of Mr Bhatti or will he still blame it as a fallout of drone attack?
