Style Icon: Kate Beckinsale

She is sleek. She is chic. She is fabulous. Kate Beckinsale is our style icon of the week and inarguably so. With unmissable pizzazz and an impeccable fashion sense, she is growingly becoming one of our favourite sartorial stars. Whether she walks down the street or the red carpet, the Pearl Harbour star always shines bright like a diamond.

We love her signature high pony tail and loose waves that she sports oh-so-dynamically. Her chiselled face and toned body, glowing skin and 1000-watt smile can make almost anything look good on her. Although she sometimes plays it safe, her style choices perfectly epitomise her personality — simple yet appealing. She frequently opts for pale lips and dark eyes, which enhance her features. “My lips are naturally very pink, so if I add any more colour, it looks like I’ve been smacked in the mouth!” says Kate.



While we are fans of her gorgeous designer ensembles, the mommy of one rocks the casual look like no other. Sunglasses are one of her favourite accessories. According to her, “Big sunglasses hide a multitude of sins — you can wear a crummy outfit, but slide by if you have good sunglasses.” Words to live by.

The Underworld actor has an out of this world sense of style. She didn’t fear wearing latex for the movie, and we don’t have to think twice before recommending that you follow her fashion choices.
