KARACHI:
Two alleged robbers, who had impersonated as Rangers, were identified by the witnesses and complainant of a robbery case in a district and sessions court on Thursday. Waheed Anwar and Muhammad Qasim were produced before a judicial magistrate in district West, Muhammad Afzal Roshan, for an identification parade by the Iqbal Town police. The witnesses as well as the complainant of the case successfully identified the men and told the court that the men along with their other accomplices had looted them. The witnesses said the men were wearing Rangers uniforms and entered the houses, claiming they were carrying out a search operation and looted valuables. When the residents reached the police station to register a complaint, it was revealed that the police were unaware about any such operation in the area. Following the parade, the judge sent the men on judicial remand till January 13.
