Con artist: CM’s Secretariat ‘administrator’ arrested

BAHAWALPUR: A man pretending to be an administrative officer of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat was arrested on Tuesday. A forged card, letter pad, visiting card and letter issued from the Secretariat were recovered from him. Muhammad Afzal Shah had received motorcycles and other articles in bribes.

Inspector Azhar Iqbal said he had learnt that an important official of the CM’s Secretariat was in Rahim Yar Khan and hiring people. DPO Sohail Zafar Chattha was ordered to start an inquiry. He found that no official has been assigned to work in Rahim Yar Khan. Shah was then traced to Mohallah Saadaat where he was arrested along with Basheer Ahmad and his son Sajid who were pretending to be his personal assistants. Police said Khadim, CM’s Secretariat official had forged had provided Shah with the necessary documents.
