There is no limit to the diversity of human thoughts and the millions of books witten through time testify to that. With the number of publications still soaring, book exhibition is a cost effective way to provide readers with a wide spectrum of books to quench their literary thirst with.

With that in mind, The Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Library on Tuesday organised a two-day Annual Book Fair within the university premises. Inaugurating the fair, acting FJWU vice chancellor Dr Naheed Zia Khan said the event could play an important role in the promotion of higher education.

She also urged the visitors and vendors to promote the culture of reading books by organising more such events.

“It’s encouraging to see students purchasing books related to their disciplines recommended by their respective faculties,” she said.

Thirteen registered book vendors are participating in the fair and all the stalls are arranged according to the requirement and needs of the students and teachers.
