The movie was given a rating of 9.1 out of 10 in a polling based on more than 10,000 users rating, ranking above films like The Wolf of Wall Street and Gravity. No Bollywood film made it to the top five. However, Farhan Akhtar’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag sits comfortably at a position of number 8. Despite such impressive public statistics, the movie did not make it anywhere in the top ten of IMDb’s MOVIE meter.
Director Bilal Lashari, enthusiastic about the public opinion, shared his feelings with The Express Tribune, saying “This was not just a reaction to a film, but a show of immense love and support from proud fellow Pakistanis and a new beginning for our national cinema.”

Saad 23 hours ago Reply @IndianDude: “Waar” in urdu means to “Strike”. Its not the same as english War. I know that waar means strike in hindi, it was still appropriate to use pak army is not good at war or waar. Otherwise you want have blast going off everyday in pakistan,
@Mohd tarekh: bollywood probably have international reckoning in srilanka and nepal.
I just know that it was film for Mummy Daddy or Lahore Karachi Defence class. Otherwise it was hard to understand for anyone in my city Gujranwala. This film is advance only in technology. The good films were Aaina, Dil Lagi, Naukar Vohti Da, Zarqa, Choorian etc
When there is some good news about waar u will notice rafay mehmood wudnt be around!!
@Prat: Since when is imdb banned in Pakistan. It seems Google is banned in yours.......
How can you glorify rating of a patriotic movie on a site that is banned in your country!
@IndianDude: "Waar" in urdu means to "Strike". Its not the same as english War.
congratulation to pak army. They can succeed in any business, except the real 'waar'.
@Rajiv Kumar: Sir , there is nothing more pleasant than an Honest Indian ...
Congratulations to Pakistan for making a far better movie than all the recent Indian flicks.
@Mohd tarekh: Are you insecure? Waar is only a movie, great that it achieved the best rating, by whom is immaterial, it does not matter whoever voted for it. Not sure you would make it an India issue if the highest rated movie was from Bollywood. Comment on the content/quality of the movie, don't make it a national issue, only shows your insecurity.
On a side-note, everyone knows Pakistan's is a growing film industry, comparing it with Bollywood without any relevant reason here... well, only shows your insecurity.
Umm, actually it's still top for more than 15,000 votes. ET guys should do more research before publishing everything just to be quick.
