They said drugs and illegal weapons were recovered in the crackdown. A police spokesman said Khanewal DPO Rana Ayaz Saleem supervised the raids. He said Afzal, Muhammad Liaqaut, Muhammad Asghar, Sajid, Shahid, Mujahid, Shafqat and Mazhar were arrested. He said five pistols, three rifles and 23 bullets were recovered from them. He said police also apprehended four drug peddlers, Muhammad Akhtar, Tufail, Dilbar and Iftikhar Ahmad and recovered 125 litres wine and 175 grams opium from them.
