Rail boost: Five freight trains launched

Pakistan Railways earned Rs 1,588 million against the set target of Rs 910 million during the current fiscal year.

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways on Tuesday launched five freight trains with an aim to improve the economic condition of the railway department. According to a statement, the freight service has been launched from Karachi which is a success for railways in the current situation. The freight sector is considered an important segment for railways has contributed a lot towards railways’ income. Pakistan Railways earned Rs 1,588 million against the set target of Rs 910 million during the current fiscal year, registering 75% increase in revenue.
