Drive-by shooting: Court official gunned down

The deceased’s uncle lodged a case against unidentified culprits at Sardheri police station.

CHARSADDA: A government official was gunned down by unidentified assailants on Monday. Causality in-charge at District Headquarters Hospital, Mazullah Khan said 20-year-old Waseem Khan, a resident of Ibrahimzai, was an employee at Swabi courts. Riding a motorcycle, the suspects opened fire at him at Sheikho Phattak, killing him on the spot. Mazullah said the incident occurred at around 7am when Waseem was on his way to work. His body was shifted to the hospital for an autopsy. The deceased’s uncle, Sameen Jan, lodged a case against unidentified culprits at Sardheri police station and told the police the family had no enemies.
