The five-day Higher Education Commission (HEC) workshop on research methodology held at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, came to an end on Saturday. The workshop was organised by Professional Development Centre in collaboration with HEC, Islamabad.
The vice-chancellor, Professor Dr Parveen Shah, in her presidential address, said that quality education depends on dedicated teachers, adding that the centre provides training for teaching and learning to the university’s faculty. “Research is the key indicator for a highly civilized society,” she said. “There is a need to remove socio-cultural, financial and bureaucratic barriers for the growth of research culture in the country.”
Director planning and development, Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, said measures were being taken for the accreditation of various programmes, such as business administration, computer and IT education.
Later, the vice-chancellor distributed certificates among the participants of the workshop. At least 30 participants attended the five-day workshop.
