SIALKOT:

Agricultural research and technology experts have called on the farmers to conduct chemical tests of their agricultural land to gauge the level of fertility before sowing any seasonal crop.

These tests have now become vital for getting maximum per acre yield of crops. They say farmers have never bothered to get their agricultural land tested due to lack of awareness of agricultural research. Addressing a seminar on “The balanced use of bio-fertilisers”, the experts said the underground fertility of the fields and agricultural land was decreasing day by day due to maximum sowing of three crops every year and has become a serious concern for the farmers.

Muhammad Nafees Hundal, DDO Agriculture Sambrial, stressed the need of awareness among the cultivators and farmers.
