
KARACHI. Sindh Police have started a departmental inquiry against its personnel who are allegedly involved in criminal activities or have links with criminals, The Express Tribune has learnt.
Sources privy to the matter said that a scrutiny of officials, deployed at police stations in all five districts in Karachi, has been initiated. Officials with ranks of SP or SSP have been tasked with conducting the inquiries based on reports issued by the intelligence agencies. Around 150 personnel have been identified in the reports.
The majority will be transferred to other parts of the province while the remaining would be sent to the police Headquarters or dismissed from service.
