Police arrest wanted terrorist in Karachi

KARACHI: The police arrested a wanted terrorist Muhammad Adnan alias Abu Hamza from West Wharf in Karachi, Express News reported on Saturday.

The arrest was made when Abu Hamza had gone to West Wharf to collect money from unknown persons.

Two hand grenades and a pistol were also seized from his possession.

His name is in the Red Book according to officials of the Crime Investigation Department (CID). The Red Book is titled ‘Most Wanted Terrorists’ and it provides profiles of key terrorists.

The terrorists mentioned in the book are involved in a number of terrorism and criminal cases, including bomb blasts, attack on law enforcers and their offices, murders, abductions for ransom, bank robberies and other illegal activities.

The police are conducting raids for the arrests of his companions but his is the only arrest that has been confirmed.
