PML-N senior leader Senator Talal Chaudhry accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of conspiring against national interests, asserting that those involved in the May 9 incidents were punished in accordance with the law.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Chaudhry stated, “The suspects of May 9 were sentenced based on evidence and legal procedures. Globally, punishments are handed down in line with domestic laws. No one claims that those involved in the May 9 incidents are innocent.” He emphasised that international laws were not violated in sentencing the culprits.

Chaudhry criticised PTI, alleging that the party has consistently attacked national interests. “PTI used its funding to lobby against Pakistan’s interests. They have always plotted against the country,” he claimed.

He stressed the importance of accountability in state governance, adding that the mastermind behind the May 9 incidents, currently imprisoned at Adiala Jail, must also be punished. “There will be no deals or amnesty. Punishments will continue as per the law,” he said.

Defending Pakistan's sovereignty, Chaudhry remarked, “Pakistan is a self-reliant state, and the world respects our laws. PTI leadership exploits its workers for political gains.” He warned that acts of treason and rebellion would not be tolerated under any circumstances, vowing that all those involved in the May 9 unrest would face justice.
