While inaugurating a water supply facility in Pepal Porian village in Murree Tehsil on Monday, Takashi Katae, deputy chief of mission at the Japanese embassy, stressed the importance of clean drinking water and basic sanitation services for rural communities and hoped the project would contribute to other dimensions of development in the locality. The $115,957 project was funded by the Japanese government through the Society for Upgradation of Knowledge, Health and Infrastructure (Sukhi), an NGO working for rural development in Pakistan.
