Attempted suicide: Three swallow poison

A woman swallowed poison after a quarrel with her husband.

FAISALABAD: Three people attempted suicide in Faisalabad on Saturday and Sunday, police said. A police spokesman said that a woman, a resident of Iqbal Nagar, swallowed poison after a quarrel with her husband. Separately, he said, a girl in Chak 215-RB took poison on Sunday after her parents scolded her. A Sangla Hill resident also swallowed poison on Sunday. He said the man had been unemployed for several months. The spokesman said all three were taken to Allied Hospital, where doctors were trying to save their lives.
