Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Senior Minister and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Sirajul Haq on Sunday said the nation does not need funds in return for slavery and the station chief of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Islamabad should be handed over to Pakistan.
Addressing party activists in Jamia Islamia Tafheemul Quran in Mardan, Haq said the JI formed an allied government in K-P not for the purpose of acquiring wealth or gaining power, but to serve the public. He said the nation does not require funds from the US in return for obliging every demand and added the CIA station chief should be arrested on the charges of drone strikes in the country.
Sirajul Haq further added that while federal government officials have been visiting foreign countries, they have completely ignored the concerns of K-P.
He said the provincial government will launch a massive protest against the drone strikes in Islamabad and called for the federal government to take the drones issue seriously, and even consider shooting them down. “Our government has forcefully halted the supplies to Nato forces in Afghanistan,” he added.
