Premeditated attack: IED blast injures three security officials

No one claimed responsibility for the incident.

GHALLANAI: Three levies and Frontier Constabulary (FC) security personnel were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast on a convoy in Shamshah, Baizai sub-division of Mohmand Agency on Sunday. Official sources who confirmed the incident said political administration officials were engaged in a search operation with security officials in Yara Khel in response to Saturday’s firing incident. When they were returning in the late evening, an IED hidden along their route exploded, resulting in injuries to three officials of the levies and FC. The administration also arrested 15 suspects in the search operation, however, no one claimed responsibility for the incident. On Saturday, three security forces officials were killed in a firing incident in Yara Khel Baizai sub-division.
