Armed assailants opened fire at a couple in Taxila on Friday and fled leaving them critically injured.

TAXILA: Armed assailants opened fire at a couple in Taxila on Friday and fled leaving them critically injured. Police officials said Arshad Khan and his wife, Sana, 22, was riding home on his motorcycle when unidentified armed assailants opened fire on them. The couple was taken to a hospital in Taxila where Sana was pronounced dead and Khan was listed as critical. The couple had married against the will of Sana’s parents and they might be involved, said a police official.
