
PIA strengthened their position among the top teams in the ongoing Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) as they defeated Pak-Afghan Clearing Agency (Paca) 3-2 Stadium on Saturday.
Paca took the lead in the second minute of the first-half injury time with Abdul Salam’s goal. However, Zeeshan Ali equalised the goal for PIA in the 49th minute of the match, while his team-mate Nasarullah scored another goal in the 65th minute.
Paca fought back tenaciously to level the score 2-2 with Nasarullah’s effort in the 77th minute. PIA though sealed the win with Zahid Majeed scoring the decisive goal in the 85th minute.
The Airliners are currently occupying fourth place in the table with 32 points after playing 20 matches, while Paca remain on 13th spot with 18 points.
In another match Navy registered their seventh win in the season; they defeated Afghan FC 1-0 with Muhammad Ramzan scoring the winner in the 70th minute.
