LDA meeting: Shahbaz approves uplift projects for Lahore

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has given approval to various development projects for Lahore city including Azadi Chowk Flyover, alternative route of Circular Road, Qainchi Flyover, General Hospital U-turn and Chungi U-turn.


Presiding over the governing body meeting of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Thursday, he directed initiating work on these projects on a priority basis. Vice Chairman LDA Khawaja Ahmed Hasaan, Secretaries Local Government, Housing, Planning & Development, Commissioner Lahore Division, District Coordination Officer Lahore, Director General LDA and other officers were present in the meeting.


Shahbaz also gave approval for the release of more than Rs12 billion funds for the projects and directed that resources be utilised on public welfare projects.


The meeting also decided to maintain the quota of widows and heirs of martyrs in all LDA housing schemes.
