Did you know?: The Bachchan bahu may be fed up with mommy-in-law’s antics

Bollywood’s blue-eyed diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is done donning the ‘perfect bahu’ mantle. If rumours are to be believed, the Bachchan bahu is not very happy with how things are at the Bachchan residence, reported the Indian Express.

Aishwarya has been living with her in-laws since she married Abhishek Bachchan in April 2007. But now, Aishwarya wants to move out and live separately with her husband and daughter, Aaradhya.



The reason behind this development is the same almost every household faces. It’s bahu vs saas in the Bachchan mansion! Reportedly, mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan keeps an eye out on Aishwarya’s activities and her constant interference in Aishwarya’s life is what’s putting the star off.

Jaya expects Aishwarya to update her on all matters — both personal and professional — something which is not appreciated by the latter. The news came across as rather shocking because both Aishwarya and Jaya seem to be on the same page when they make public appearances.

Earlier in October, Jaya lashed out at a group of photographers at a party thrown by film-maker Subash Ghai. The ruckus started when photographers called out to Aishwarya to pose for them. Jaya shouted at them saying, “Why are you calling her Aishwarya? Was she your classmate?” Aishwarya maintained her calm and hurried to a waiting car along with Mrs Big B, without any response.

Here’s hoping this picture-perfect power family of Bollywood remains united and these rumours are proven wrong.
