The elections were held only in Zone-I and Zone-V, where a proper contest took place between the contestants, while most of the groups withdrew their nominations to clear any hurdles for the chosen officials in Zone-II, III, IV, VI and VII.
In Zone-I, Mohammad Khurram Ashraf won the post of president while Muneer Ali Qadri and Arif Waheed Khan fought successfully for the posts of secretary and treasurer respectively.
Meanwhile in Zone-V, Mohammad Ahmed became the president while Shabaz Qureshi was selected unopposed as secretary and Mohammad Salman completed the line-up by winning the post of treasurer.
The 21 Zonal officials will now decide the fate of KCCA’s top leadership when the elections take place later on.

I hate this kind of politics. We have already suffered a lot from this, but still nobody willing to learn from the mistakes.
