Gang War: Baba Golden killed in Lyari

Notorious gangster Baba Golden was killed during clashes in Lyari on Saturday.

KARACHI: Notorious gangster Baba Golden was killed during clashes in Lyari on Saturday which also left seven people injured. Hand grenades and rockets could be heard in the area in what appeared to be an attempt by the Uzair Baloch-led Peoples Amn Committee’s (PAC) to reclaim Lyari’s neighbourhoods of Phool Patti Lane and Bihar Colony from its dissident Baba Ladla group. The latter also controls Dubai Chowk, Rangiwara and surrounding areas. Golden was affiliated with the PAC and was working under Shiraz Comrade when he was killed, Lyari DSP Shakeel Ahmed told The Express Tribune. As the clashes broke out, the law enforcement agencies were nowhere be found in the area. The residents were restricted to their homes during the battle between two gangs.
