
It has been learnt that the organisers, the Sindh Squash Association (SSA), have also received an international entry from Iran, but its final confirmation remains pending.
According to the SSA, as many as 269 entries were received; a tally of 227 was from boys and 42 by girls.
The boys will play in the age groups of U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 while there will be four categories amongst the girls — U11, U15, U17 and U19.
The event’s draw size has been kept at 16-64, while the prize-money tag is $11,000.
K-P’s Ali Karamat has been seeded first for the U17 event while Madina Zafar is the top seed in girls’ U17 category.
