LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday barred the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from raiding offices of international calling companies. The court also issued notice to the FIA to reply to the petitions moved by various companies. The petitioners submitted that their business was legal and governed by various rules and regulations, and the FIA had started a drive against them for no reason. They maintained that the FIA’s raids were tantamount to harassment and asked the court to stop the agency from conducting raids. The court issued a stay order to this effect and adjourned the case till November 27.
