GUJRANWALA: District Education Officer (Elementary Education) Muhammad Farooq Alvi on Thursday ordered an inquiry against an elementary school teacher who is accused of being appointed unlawfully on bogus degrees. The DEO gave the officials concerned a week to file the inquiry report. The complaint to the DEO was filed by a citizen, Muhammad Tanzeem Arif. He claimed that the domicile and certificates of Muhammad Idrees, a teacher at the Government FD Model Elementary School, were bogus. He said Idrees was appointed in 2003 despite the fact that he was ineligible for the job.
