Security barriers: LDA, city govt issued notices

Petitioner asked court to order removal of all barriers on public roads as they are encroachments.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday sought replies from the city government and the Lahore Development Authority about security barriers that form encroachments on roads outside government and police offices.

The petitioner has asked the court to order that all barriers and other structures put up on public roads outside places like the IG’s office and the Punjab Assembly be removed as they are encroachments.
