By now Asif has built a habit of getting off to a slow start in domestic tournaments, as he was stunned 4-3 by Masih in the morning session. Masih was 3-0 down and close to defeat, but went on to triumph in the next frame and eventually won the game 4-3.
Asif then made amends for his earlier loss by beating Amir Tariq 4-2, while Masih won with a similar score line against Farhan Noor in his second match.
Asjad was off to a smooth start fending off challenges from Mohammad Bilal and Abu Saim, defeating them 4-2 and 4-1 respectively.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Sajjad eased to a 4-0 triumph against veteran Mohammad Yousuf.
