PESHAWAR:
Unidentified attackers opened fire at Pashto actor Spogmay’s car on Monday, killing her mother and leaving her sister-in-law seriously injured.
Police said the mother, Hussan Pari, and sister- in-law Shehla were in the car while Spogmay was at a photocopier at the time of the attack.
“The assailants opened fire at the vehicle; Hussan Pari was killed and Shehla badly wounded. Shehla was rushed to Lady Reading Hospital,” said a police official.
“It is not a terrorism-related incident and we will investigate the matter once an FIR has been registered by the family,” he added.
No FIR had been registered by the victim’s family till the filing of this report.
