SIALKOT: Two transformer repairing workshops will be set up in Sialkot and Gujrat, Gujranwala Electric Power Company officials said on Monday. Construction work will begin after cost estimation and development of a map for the projects, they said. At a time, 12 transformers would be repaired at each of the workshops. The cost for the two workshops has been estimated at Rs2 million. Each workshop will be set up on a four-kanal area. Currently, there is only one government transformer repairing workshop in Gujranwala. The new workshops were being set up to repair transformers that become out-of-order in extreme hot season, Gepco officials added. They said at the moment, out-of-order transformers were sent to Gujranwala.
