KARACHI:

All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) has urged the authorities to allow distribution of newspapers in Rawalpindi.

APNS Secretary General Masood Hamid, in a statement issued on Sunday, expressed concern on the law and order situation in Rawalpindi which has caused disturbance in the public life in the city.

The situation has badly affected the newspaper industry, from delivery of newsprint and attendance of employees to newspaper distribution. The APNS urges upon Rawalpindi administration to facilitate publishing of newspapers by allowing newspapers staff to discharge their duties and make special arrangements for the distribution of newspapers util the law and order situation returns to normal, Hamid said.
