On high alert: IGP directs security for Soyem

He ordered the police to perform snap checking and active police patrolling at the processions and majlis.

Provincial Police Chief Shahid Nadeem Baloch directed the police on Saturday to take strict measures to maintain peace on Soyem of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), which is to be observed on Sunday.


According to a news statement, IGP Sindh issued directives for security arrangements for mourning procession routes and majlis to be held on soyem. He ordered the police to perform snap checking and active police patrolling at the processions and majlis. He stressed for intelligence report sharing, saying that SPs, DSPs and other officials should monitor security measures in their respective areas and pay surprise visits.
