
Pakistan’s contingent for the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Games 2013 will leave for Newcastle, Australia on November 27. The 60 athletes chosen from all over the country will compete in Australia among 2,000 other athletes from 32 countries.
According to the press release from the Special Olympics Pakistan, the contingent will greatly benefit from the Health Athlete Program which will start during the games.
The programme will require all 2,000 athletes to take the free health screening in order to identify the health issues of the participants. The Pakistan contingent includes 23 athletes from Islamabad, 19 from Lahore and 18 from Karachi.
