SIALKOT: A man riding a motorcycle was injured on Monday after his throat was cut by a kite string. Rescue officials said Zain Ali, a second-year-student, was taking his grandmother to a relative’s house when a kite string ran along his throat. He was taken to Government Allama Iqbal Hospital, where doctors treating him said he was out of danger. DSP Maqsood Lone visited the patient at the hospital. Lone said a suspect kite flyer had been arrested. Police said despite ban on kite-flying and selling, they received numerous complaints from Hajipur, Sabzpir, Head Marala, Kotli Loharan, Bambanwala and Naikapur areas.
