In addition to Awan, two prominent members from the Mughal and Gujjar communities, Shabbir Mughal and Musharraf Gujjar, have also joined the party.
A delegation from the Mughal and Gujjar communities met the MQM Rabita Committee, including Haider Abbas Rizvi and MPA Rauf Siddiqui at Azizabad on Friday.
Other members from the two communities who have joined the MQM include Afzal Mughal, Muneer Arain, Saeed Mayo, Malik Suhail Awan, Malik Shahbaz Awan, Malik Liaquat Awan, Nek Muhammad and Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf Arain.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahnawaz Awan said he was joining the MQM as he was highly impressed with the philosophy and ideology of party chief Altaf Hussain and firmly believed that only MQM could steer the country out of crisis.
Awan said the new members had expressed their desired to participate wholeheartedly in its struggle for the rights of poor people in the country.
Haider Abbas Rizvi and Rauf Siddiqui felicitated Malik Shahnawaz Awan and others on behalf of Altaf Hussain for joining the MQM.

@Hammad: terrible heart ache on these kind of inclusions, Mqm is connected to the heart of die hard folloewrs , party use to take prise that it does not believe in parachute jump in. With these joinings the very foundation of party is at stake, the discipline and system which has evolved by shear hard work or let me say by sheding blood would be in grave danger.

MQM is playing typical Pak politics, it should refrain from importing lotas MQM should work on improving its own structure and working hard to gain strength, it shouldn't neglect its own workers
