He said the post-mortem examination report revealed that Lateef had been murdered. He said there were cuts on the neck. He said the suspect, Tariq Abdullah, was arrested and confessed to the killing. He told police that he had been asked by a pir to bring him the blood of a recently killed human. He said he had discovered that Lateef was alone at his house so he went in and killed him in his sleep. Police said they had also recovered the weapon used in the killing. They said the suspect had buried it in his house. The SI said police were now looking for the pir. He said a place was raided on information obtained from Abdullah, but he (pir) was not there.
