LAHORE: Honda Pakistan has recorded an overall sales growth of 86% in 2013 compared to the previous year and not only this localisation of parts in both Civic and City variants has increased substantially. This was highlighted in the Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited Vendor Conference 2013 held here recently. President and CEO Takeharu Aoki and Vice President Production Akio Takemoto along with the management were present. The conference noted that Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan achieved the second highest sales of Honda Civic in the Asia and Oceana region. Takemoto appreciated the efforts of auto parts manufacturers in achieving the high level of localisation. He emphasised Honda’s commitment to excel in localisation with the support of vendors, saying, “we need to move ahead to grow together.” President Takeharu Aoki also recognised the pivotal role played by the vendors in Honda Pakistan’s growth in the regional market.
