Busting crime: Extortionists nabbed in Pabbi

The accused were wanted by both Islamabad and Punjab police.

PABBI: The ringleader of an extortion gang and a member were arrested by the Pabbi police. The accused were wanted by both Islamabad and Punjab police. At a news conference on Tuesday, Sayed Israruddin, a resident of Pabbi and Pabbi police inspector Khalid Khan shared the accused had been threatening Israr with dire consequences if he did not cough up Rs50,000. Israr eventually caved in and paid the amount but informed local police after the gang asked for more. According to Khan, a team was formed under his supervision and caught the extortionists  when they took money from Israr for the second time. The police also recovered Rs50,000 from the accused and recovered 15 SIMs.
