Capacity building: First training session for police

Changes in police laws and police budget were also reviewed in the session.

The first capacity building session for the Crime Investigation Department of the police in collaboration with Turkish police officers was held at Central Police Office on Wednesday.


Projects leaders were briefed on criminal investigation, basic police behaviour, witness protection, citizen-centered policing, institutional performance, use of technology, human resource management, crime prevention, patrol and anti-riot systems, traffic management and counter-terrorism.

Changes in police laws and police budget were also reviewed in the session.

Turkish police officers told officials present that their government had increased the budget of the police to equal that of the Turkish army. Additional IG Sarmed Saeed Khan, Additional IG (Investigation) Muhammad Amlish, Additional IG (Traffic) Kalb-e-Abbas, Additional IG (PHP) Sohail Khan and Additional IG (Training) Captain (r) Usman Khattak were also present.
