KARACHI:

Following the massive discrepancy and fraud in the appointment of local government department, the Sindh government has ordered the removal of around 12,900 employees working in grades-1 to grade-15.

The notification issued by secretary local government Ali Ahmed Lund on Tuesday said, “All appointments since June 30, 2012, are against the rules; therefore, they are declared null and void.”  The recent development has come to the fore following an inquiry initiated on the directives by Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah a couple of months ago.

The committee, headed by Additional Secretary Nazir Ahmed Dhoon, said in its report that the officials of Sindh Secretariat are involved in issuing around 5,000 fake orders. The development has taken place soon after the resignation tendered by local government minister Owais Muzaffar on Monday.

Not only have these employees been removed, but the government has called off all the transfer and postings during the period mentioned, and has directed the employees to report to the departments concerned and go to work on their previous positions.

Talking to The Express Tribune, Nazir Dhoon confirmed that he had found massive irregularities in appointment orders; however, he did not provide any further details. “I have submitted the report to the government. You can ask the concerned officials,” he said.

Despite several attempts, the Local Government Secretary did not take any phone call but Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, who has the charge of the department, confirmed that the government has ordered to remove the employees. However, he did not confirm whether any notification was issued in this regard.

when ppp abolish local govt and did not hold new elections fearing mustafa kamal would win again. They imposed commisioner system, and nominate/selected ( not elected) an administrator. While Karachites watched the new administrator roaming around drunk, the officials of Sindh Secretariat got busy in corruption. They recruited massive non local karachi from outside karachi - and they literally sold jobs to rural sindh people. they take the appointment, and went back to their other business-drawing salaries every month.

Everything turned upside down, when no worker showed up in the heavy rain of this year. Owais muzaffar tappi was stranded on street... and became a mockery to himself.

First remove local elected official. second select trusted guy as administrator who can do the deed. third sell jobs to non-local....

what do you expect now? in emergency- nobody showed up!! now you are beating about the bush. damage has been done.

Once upon a time, the PPP and MQM were partners in the Federal and Provincial Government of Sindh.

Then the elections were held on May 11, 2013.

PPP lost majority in all over Pakistan except in Sindh.

Then the size of the PPP's Government reduced to Sindh.

And thenMQM was cornered by PPP.

Then the date of Local Bodies polls were announced.

PPP wants to rule at the Provincial Government as well also wants to rule in the Local Bodies.

Then MQM was offered some ministerial posts in the Provincial Government.

But the MQM refused keeping in mind that if MQM will accept the partnership at the Provincial level of Sindh, how MQM will accommodate its National Assembly Members when Mian Sahib does not want it to do that way.

Now the PPP Government has ordered to remove 12,900 employees, most of them are sincere and dedicated to MQM, so that MQM should not win the Local Bodies Election.

What a potty?

Yesterday's friends have turned in today's foes.

Very unfortunate.

Here the story has just begin.

Let's see what will happen in future?

May Al-Mighty Allah help us all. Ameen.
