HAROON RASHID | 11 years ago | Reply Honorable Ambassador Pakistan Hiroshi Inomata Esq., as expressed to the need for more collaboration between Pakistan and Japan to achieve concrete/tangible results in the economic sector. Excellency People, consumer, businesses had been very supportive to Japans collaboration decades before in the technology sector with Japanese cars which was very encouraging and the total market rather PAMA trade body became as if it was JAMA with all Japanese Membership of auto manufacturers. The automobile sector producing Japanese kit cars for local assembling are not in adherence to the standards/quality, safety of JAMA/OICA standards stipulated. Opportunity provided to Toyota Customers for the devaluation of Yen/Dollar parity did not provide relief to Toyota local production, neither with price, nor with safety, economy to enable the product for the international market exports from Pakistan. Japanese technology for transport mass transit is the best in the world, being endorsed for the Karachi Mass Transit, and Metro Bus service. Based on the studies of JICA will definitely bring credibility to Japan in the transport sector for Karachi. It is the earnest desire for residents of Karachi for completion/execution of the Metro Bus, and Mass Transit Circular Train project to be completed on an urgent basis, in the true spirit of the honorable Prime Minister Excellency Mr. Abe which will create new vistas of openings/opportunities for Japan investment in Pakistan but also in the SAARC region.
