Lives lost: At least 14 killed in separate incidents
An Afghan oil container collided with a coach and two cars that were on their way to a wedding.

At least 14 people were killed in separate incidents in Jamrud on Monday. Political tehsildar Asmatullah Wazir said an Afghan oil container collided with a coach and two cars that were on their way to a wedding in Ali Masjid area. The bride and 10 others, including two minors, were killed as a result. Eye witness Shahid Raj Wali Adalkhel said the container carrying cooking oil lost control while negotiating a sharp turn and rammed into the three vehicles, which were carrying around 25 passengers. Meanwhile, three people were killed when unidentified men opened fire at a vehicle in Jamal Khayal Karapa area of the tehsil. Tehsildar Wazir said Zaitullah, Sadeeq, Khan Zali and Khyal Afridi were en route to Jamrud Bazaar in a pickup when unidentified assailants ambushed their vehicle and opened fire. Sadeeq, Ziatullah and Khan Zali died on the spot, while Afridi sustained injuries and was taken to Civil Hospital where his condition was said to be critical.
